HCIS Residence promotes a culture of camaraderie, unity and friendship among boarders of different cultural backgrounds. Activities and events in the boarding becomes a platform for boarders to showcase their abilities and talents and a path for them to discover and explore their other potentials.

Orientation Programme
This event helps new boarders to be make friends in the residence, introduce them to boarding life and to prepare them for fruitful and happy life as a student of HCIS.

Enrichment Programmes
This programme helps boarders to discover their abilities and develop it into life skill or a meaningful hobby; some of which includes baking lessons, cooking lessons, photography workshop, etc.

Community Service Programmes
HCIS Residence also helps to promote social responsibility among boarders. Through different community services, such as clean-up drives, recycling activities, the residence helps raise awareness among boarders to become socially responsible citizens of the world.

Sports Programmes
Inter-Cluster Competitions and Sports Carnivals are some of the many ways the residence helps boarders not only to develop physically but also socially. Sports foster teamwork and camaraderie among boarders which is an important life skill when they move on from academic life.

Student Learning Support Programme (SLSP)
Boarders who require assistance with regards to their academic needs can find help from the SLSP Team. Teachers and Teaching Assistants (Residential) work hand in hand in order to provide optimum support to boarders who need help in the academic aspect. The SLSP Team also welcomes other boarders who wish to render assistance to their fellow boarders with regards to learning a new topic or subject.

Boarding Council
The Boarding Council is composed of boarders who are duly elected by their fellow boarders to become the student government in HCIS Residence. The Council works together with the Teaching Assistants (Residential) to provide a meaningful and joyful boarding life for boarders.

In joining the Boarding Council, boarders are given the chance to develop their leadership skills, decision-making ability, flexibility and help improve their social interaction skills. This also becomes a platform for them to showcase their creativity through various programs.
