徜徉光阴，探秘节气 Exploring the Solar Terms by Navigating through Time

Through the observation of changes in nature, the ancient Chinese divided the annual motion of the sun into 24 segments, also known as the 24 Solar Terms. The 24 Solar Terms indicate seasonal transitions, and reflect the changes in climate, natural phenomena and other aspects of life which include clothing, food and agricultural production. The system is also honoured as the “Fifth Great Invention of China”, following the inventions of papermaking, printing, gunpowder and the compass.

Since we do not have the four seasons in Singapore, does this mean that the 24 Solar Terms have absolutely nothing to do with us? Do the 24 Solar Terms represent only the passing of time? Or do they encompass a deeper cultural meaning?

All are welcome to join us in this fun and engaging workshop, as we travel through time to investigate the mysteries of the 24 Solar Terms and explore the beauty of ancient Chinese wisdom. The workshop is limited to only 25 pax and will be conducted in-person at our school campus. Please note that the workshop will be conducted in Chinese.
