HCIS places a premium on experiential learning, where students put into practice what they learn. Students are exposed to a host of outdoor activities that stretches them and takes them out of their comfort zone. It is through these experiences that critical life skills like communication, teamwork, critical thinking, leadership and resilience are nurtured. More often than not, these experiences provide lasting memories of their school life in HCIS that are talked about in years to come.
Experiential learning in HCIS is modelled after Kolb’s Learning Cycle and it involves experiencing, reflecting, learning and applying.
