Hwa Chong International School (HCIS) is pleased to share the exceptional results of its graduating cohort in the November 2024 International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) examinations, further continuing the tradition of remarkable academic success at the School.
With the return to pre-pandemic IB assessment standards since last year, HCIS students have continued to perform brilliantly this year, earning a 99.5% IBDP pass rate and an impressive average score of 37.8 points. A notable 55.2% of the graduating class earned 38 points or higher, with as many as 44.2% surpassing the 40-point threshold. On top of that, 4 students stood out with a perfect IB score of 45 points.
The excellent results achieved by these students will definitely give them a strong advantage in qualifying for admissions into renowned and leading universities around the world. It is particularly heartening for HCIS to have witnessed the growth and development of each of these students as they made continuous progress in their academic performance irrespective of their starting point. HCIS’ core strength of value-add to student learning to help students realise their true potential is best reflected in its educational philosophy of “Education for All, According to Each” (有教无类,因材施教).
Such success is a testament to the combined efforts of many individuals who have guided the students along the way. While the achievements are a personal triumph for each student, they also reflect the commitment of their family, who played an integral role in providing emotional support and encouragement in their children’s academic journey. Our devoted team of teaching staff has also gone above and beyond to foster a learning environment that challenges and inspires. This ability to adapt and support one another strongly reflects the unity and strength of our close-knit school community.
The hard work and time invested by all stakeholders have paid off, and we are excited about the future endeavors of our accomplished graduates. HCIS will continue to strive to be a leading IB World School with a mission to empower our learners with character and global competency to be individuals of impact through a value-add education.
