IGCSE

The Cambridge IGCSE is an international examination curriculum commonly adopted by most international schools in Singapore and worldwide. The examination system is trusted by schools, universities and employers worldwide, and a passport to progression and success. Taken at Year 4 (Grade 10), IGCSE is equivalent in standard to the GCE ‘O’ levels and British GCSE. Upon the attainment of the IGCSE qualification, students may proceed with the GCE ‘A’ levels, SAT, International Baccalaureate (IB) programme and various other certifications.
For schools, Cambridge IGCSE offers a flexible and stimulating curriculum, supported with ample resources and training. For learners, Cambridge IGCSE aims to improve learners’ skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem-solving.
Cambridge IGCSE assessment takes place at the end of the course (in November) and includes written, oral, coursework and practical assessment. Grades are benchmarked using eight internationally recognised grades, A* to G, which have clear guidelines to explain the standard of achievement for each grade.
